Manic Focus has created one of my favorite pieces of music ever. Although it’s a previous release of his, he brought another record that packs a similar punch in my eyes with his original “On The Horizon.” His soulful funk is driven by electro basses that accompany an entourage of smooth instruments and samples. Future sounds come gently out of the speakers to caress your ears, in order to reach your soul and get it grooving. This is essentially a musical chill pill.
The Minnesota producer has signed to Liberated Music, the outfit headed by the fellow funk/glitch producer GRiZ. With an upcoming album on the way, this free download should spark some interest in listeners because there’s sure to be plenty of more where “On The Horizon” came from. Expect lasting music from a guy who’s not afraid to push music to new heights.
