In Case You Missed It: 10 Songs For You

Recap

Everybody needs a recap sometimes. If you happened to miss these ten songs, then you’ll be thoroughly enjoyed after you finally hear them now. These are some of my favorite records from recent times, with the genres going from electro to zouk bass, to glitch to something that is possibly the most ignorant tune Happy Colors has created. Many of the singles are free downloads, however some you will have to purchase. However, any money spent on one of those is well worth it.

OVERWERK‘s experimental electro masterpiece, “Exist,” has quite the epic introduction. You know what’s equally as epic or even more so? What comes after.

There has yet to be a song from Geodesic that I did not like. George must have got into some “Fungus” and had a musical epiphany, because this one is extra saucy; and funky, as always.

If you were to enter the royal house of zouk bass, you’d find JSTJR in the throne room making music like “Jumbo Jam.” It’s a slow-hitting psychotropic experience filled with zany sounds and jungle rhythms.

Joss Jones’ “Put Your Hands On Me” was handled by the doctor of funk, Beat Fatigue and released for free. The spunky glitch take on the record is both classy and sensual, yet it get’s down to business real quick.

The only collaboration in this package comes from Funk4Mation and EH!DE in “Osiris.” It also happens to be the only dubstep song in here, however it makes up for any lack of bass and grit. Trust me, it has a lot of both!

CVPELLV has one of the most interesting tunes out of the bunch with the remix of Pixelord’s “Portal.” You feel like you are in some crazy underground club rave while you bump along to the beat. The New York producer imagined up some of the craziest electro breaks.

I really can’t understand how someone would not like Proper Villains take on the “Two Dots Theme Song.” I’m fairly confident in the idea that I will come back to this record for the rest of my life. It’s that kind of good.

Remember that Happy Colors tune I mentioned earlier? Well it’s a remix of “Rattlesnake” that he did for Foxsky and Play Me Records. Prepare for your brain to explode, because this one is too hype for some to handle.

It seems there’s always a trap remix of popular songs. They can be done poorly, or they can be done well. Or they could be done like SCRVP. He murdered this joint. It’s the “love trap” that everyone gets so many feels for.

Free Download

We end the package with a slick house remix by Blonde. The UK duo turned “Stranger” by Chris Malinchak into a piano chord heavy club hit. With the disco vibes of the original, it was just asking for a remix and Blonde came in to save the day like Batman and Robyn.
