Upstate New York’s Direktor went straight buck on his remix of Protohype and Jupiter Slap‘s “Clap” off Proto’s 2013 EP, Speak No Evil. The rising producer retrofitted the track with an uptempo drumstep beat that rattles right off the ribcage while retaining that dub-hop vibe with rolling 808 high hats and snares. The original primarily utilized pitched samples for it’s melody but Direktor‘s remix switches it up with mid range growls and familiar synth leads to reenergize the track into a dance floor killer.
