Not long ago, a rather inflammatory guest editorial was published on THUMP by none other than Seth Troxler who’s recently taken to panels and different platforms to express his disdain for the current EDM scene and the artists that purvey it. From his blatant criticism of festivals and its attendees to calling Avicii a “fucking c*nt [who] wouldn’t even speak to the nurse” (talking about Tim’s recent hospitalization in Miami), Seth is very adamant on making it clear his particular distaste for anything Electronic Dance Music. For those who missed it, Seth also followed suit with his Avicii criticism by comparing Tim and his relationship with his manager Ash Pournouri to the Milli Vanilli situation.
Well after all that, Hardwell decided to come to Avicii’s rescue. During an interview with In The Mix, the Dutch producer and DJ Mag’s number one DJ exclaimed:
“Why should you hate on Avicii? He’s an amazing, talented guy, and everything he [Troxler] said about him and Ash [Pournouri], that Ash had to answer everything in the hospital, is just the biggest bullshit I’ve ever heard. I’ve known Tim for over six years and he’s one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met.”
