The Superjam at Bonnaroo stands as the festival’s tradition and highlight event, where a diverse group of artists collaborate for a once-in-a-lifetime live performance. This year’s Superjam was the first of its kind to feature electronic music, complemented with R&B vocalists, rappers and live musicians, and Skrillex took the stage with an all-star cast of fellow artists, which included Big Gigantic and special guests Zedd, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Robby Krieger (of The Doors), Mickey Hart (of The Grateful Dead), Janelle Monáe, A$AP Ferg, Lauryn Hill, Joel Cummins, Warpaint, Chance the Rapper, Thundercat and more. The nearly 3-hour set consisted of covers of all genres, from electronic to rock to hiphop, with new artists performing on stage every 3-4 songs. (See full set list at end of post.)
