In Richie Hawtin’s recent Reddit AMA, the techno legend devoted 90 minutes answering fan’s questions from club performances and production advice to sake and tattoos. But the moment that stole the AMA spotlight was when Hawtin dropped a hint that he and Deadmau5 were talking of doing “something” together.
Hawtin and Deadmau5 have partnered before: They played a back-to-back set at SXSW last year, and Hawtin released “Sunspot (White Space Conflict),” a track by Deadmau5 via his alias testpilot, under Hawtin’s Plus 8 label in March. Hawtin hasn’t revealed more details of what their next project together will be, but whether it be a collab or another b2b set, we’re looking forward to it!
