It is with great sadness that we must be the bearer of more unfortunate news, as we have just come to learn that a second Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas attendee has passed away.
Las Vegas authorities says it will take several weeks to determine the causes of the first and, now, the second death related to Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas. They plan on running a full toxicology blood test on 25-year-old Anthony Anaya and 24-year-old Montgomery Tsang, though both deaths are believed to be caused by previously existing medical conditions.

From Everett, Washington, Anaya was the second reported death in relation to this massive event. He passed late Saturday at the Vdara resort after attending the 400,000 person festival.

Our condolences to the families and friends of both of the departed.

Following Montgomery Tsang’s passing, Insomniac Events released an official statement on the matter:

Today we learned some very tragic news, that after attending the festival a guest of the show has passed away. We are deeply saddened by this news, and hope that everyone will join us in keeping his family and friends in their thoughts during this very difficult time. Dance music fans pride themselves in being part of a loving community and, as we get ready to start the second night of the show, we ask everyone to help us keep this event safe. Look after your group of friends, utilize the buddy system, and if you see something, say something. No one should ever hesitate to ask any of our medical staff, public safety personnel or Insomniac staff for help, or call 911 in case of an emergency. One death is one too many, and we all must do our part to keep each other safe, healthy and happy, tonight and every night.
