Sometimes it’s better to wait on a remix by an act as iconic as Dog Blood. That’s what Janpier and Waverokr have done with their remix of “Middle Finger” that won’t be in a flood of remixes by other acts of the song. No matter, there’s would stick out like a sore thumb (or middle finger) and it’s being given away as a free download. They go for a techy industrial house sound that is very different from the original. Aside from the recycled vocal, the staple to me in this is the metallic bass that forms the heart of the composition. These two acts do put a lot of original material in this that really adds a lot to this remix that could have turned out to be just a simple bootleg. Despite the connotations of bootleg this is fire, and it’s also free. So get it!
