For those of you who don’t know, yesterday was the 4th anniversary of 6-8-10, the day Yasmine, Jahan, and Rain Man decided to drop out of school, quit their jobs, and fully dedicate their lives to Krewella. Of course now that they’re international superstars, dropping out seems like no brainer; but at the time, it was probably the most difficult decision they had ever faced. It could not have been easy to convince their families, or even themselves, that this was the right course of action, even though they had been making music together since 2006. However, when you truly believe in something with all your heart, you’ll do whatever’s necessary to make it happen and that’s exactly what Krewella did.
In my mind, one of the main things Krewella has always been about is being comfortable with who you are and doing what matters most to you regardless of what other people think. Jahan, Yasmine, and Rain Man are some of the most “real” and down-to-earth people you will ever meet, period; if you feel like you know them already it’s because you do, what you see is exactly what you get with them and it’s such a beautiful thing. Yeah they’re popular for many different reasons, but it is this quality that makes them truly unique and allows their fans to connect with them on such a deep level; they’re really not that different from us at all and this video, which is merely a snapshot of their inspiring journey, is a testament to that.
