One of 2012’s funniest comedies of the year, 21 Jump Street, that went on to gross over 200 million dollars returns with a vengeance. Come June 21st, the under cover adult-kids in blue are back at it again in one of the most anticipated sequels of the year. 22 Jump Street (this is becoming redundant), featuring Channing Tatum, for the ladies, and Jonah Hill, for those rib aching laughs; hits theaters soon. Now yes, this is both a movie and music article that in which I promise the music aspect is coming soon, right now actually.
I watched 21 Jump Street almost weekly with my siblings back in its 2012 during its prime. It is fair to assume that I absolutely loved the movie but what makes the sequels release so much more exciting for me is the music. Sitting here looking at the songs listed on 22 Jump Street’s soundtrack, I can’t help but to think they were targeting dance music fans with this one. Featuring Tiësto, Kill The Noise, Skrillex, Milo & Otis, Flosstradamus (for all the twonk-stars) amongst others, it is apparent that the second movie in this series will be a dance infused action-comedy triggering loads of nostalgia for the ravers sitting in those movie theater seats.
