Over the weekend we had the pleasure of catching up with LA’s Boombox Cartel as they laid it down in front of a sold out crowd in Atlanta, Georgia. After the set they shot us a link to their latest original, a gruesome trap-style behemoth with influences of dubstep, acid breaks, a little moombah bounce, and the massive size of big room without the generic sound design. The drop is lead by a huge distorted laser driven melody that conjures up the feeling of a lone survivor slashing away at virus ridden zombies. While bouncing through 808 kicks and rolling percussion, we are fully confident that “Virus” is the soundtrack that will inspire our character to endure the zombie apocalypse.
