Mat Zo‘s promise to continuously deliver free music has been updated with a new collaboration between himself and the Knocks. This song comes out following other block-rocking beats such as “Oldskool Trip” and “Real Life” which have met excellent praise from fans. Now Matan Zohar, Ben “B-Roc” Ruttner, and James “JPatt” Patterson have come together to create a super funkified track.
The song “Get Down 2 Get Up” takes everything that groove and electro-funk have in common and give birth to a next level piece similar to Duck Sauce‘s material in their new Quack album or Chromeo‘s White Women album. This song proves to the world that Mat Zo is a name associated within multiple genres as he ventures with the New York City duo into the disco trip they have made together. It’s actually quite impressive how both artists were able to come out with this song. With Mat returning from the wake of his album’s successes and the mini tour he has with Kill The Noise called Kill The Zo, the Knocks have been touring and just released a variety of singles, remixes, and came out with their Comfortable extended play.
