Giorgio Moroder has revealed a top pick for the artist he wants to work with for his upcoming album, the first in 16 years.
While in Sydney to perform at Vivid Live, the 74-year-old disco and electronic music pioneer showed high regard for Skrillex as he opened up about his album and his desire to collaborate with him. “I have probably 10, 15 singers or musicians who want to work with me,” said Moroder. “But nothing is really set or nothing is really recorded which I could tell. Skrillex is certainly one of the best, if not the absolute best of that new dance stuff.”
Notable artists who have worked alongside Moroder include Daft Punk, Blondie, Freddie Mercury and David Bowie. A collaboration with Skrillex would definitely be one to look forward to in light of Moroder’s new album.
