Stretch back a few months to the beginning of festival season. Remember Martin Garrix‘s set at Ultra? Do you recall the last song he played, the then unreleased collaboration with DVBBS and Sander van Doorn?
Well, here is a reminder of what is sure to become a hit summer anthem, Gold Skies, coming out via Spinnin’ Records on June 2nd.
The DVBBS brothers initiated the idea for the track, who sent their demo over to Spinnin‘ which then connected them to Garrix and van Doorn. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Garrix stated, “When [DVBBS] played the melody and sang the vocals, Sander and I immediately fell in love.”
Gold Skies is the type of track that makes you feel something. With its alluring vocals, powerful build ups, and beautiful breakdowns, this progressive track is both full of passion and zest. It is not the typical sound of DVBBS, Garrix, or van Doorn – it is the perfect combination of all three artist styles infused with the incredible vocals from Aleesia.
“It was fantastic to work with such talented young producers. The DVBBS brothers make great songs and I love their vocals, and Martin is just a genius in the studio. Probably the most talented boy I’ve met.” – Sander van Doorn
