Yesterday, in front of a sold out crowd at Red Rocks Amphitheater for Global Dub Festival 2014, Krewella took a break in the middle of their set to make sure one lucky couple would remember this night for the rest of their lives. Yasmine, who apparently became an ordained minister just for this occasion, brought Gregg and Brittany out on stage for a brief, but beautiful wedding ceremony right before performing an acoustic version of their track “Human.”
For those of you who don’t know, Krewella has been an important part of this couple’s journey so far (there’s even footage of them getting engaged in the music video for “Human”), so it was really nice to see their story finally come full circle. I was there in the crowd last night and it was an amazing experience, but I can’t even imagine what it felt like to be on stage at such a historic venue for one of the biggest milestones in your life with over 10,000 souls staring back at you. It’s moments like these that remind us what it truly means to be alive.
