Television episodes garner a lot of usable “drops” and vocal phrases that make perfect samples for songs. Aziz Ansari perhaps made one of the most appropriate ones yet in a Parks and Recreation episode that also saw an homage to Daft Punk. A name you may be familiar with, Paul Loeb, decided to make use of Aziz’s expression in his newest single, “Is It A Banger?” that he is giving to the word for free. The Melbourne record is so fun you won’t know what to do. Paul’s sound design is something to be mentioned, even though there are no monstrous growls or anything crazy like that. He took familiar elements and made them his own in a funky production. There’s only one thing left to ask; is it a banger?
