The Footwork/Juke scene was just dealt a major blow. It is being reported that DJ Rashad has died from a drug overdose, but no hard facts are in as of yet. Schedule to play in Detroit tonight, the source of the news is DJ Godfather who has allegedly talked with Rashad’s close friends. We await confirmation and will update this post as news develops:
UPDATE: DJ Rashad’s death is confirmed by the Chicago police department. Found unresponsive by a friend at 1:30 this afternoon, Rashad was pronounced dead on the scene. The police department cited it as a drug overdose but what drugs it was has yet to be released.
