Not everyone is a fan of EDM and some are particularly adamant on making the world know their dislike for the scene. One of them is Anthony Bourdain, the famous chef and TV host who’s traveled the world with his show No Reservations and his new CNN series “Parts Unknown”. In the latest episode of Parts Unknown, Anthony decided to take a tour of Las Vegas with famed magician Penn Jillette. During the hour long segment, Anthony decided he would dedicate a good three minutes to a brutal bashing of EDM and its fans.
“Come ye lords and princelings of douchedom. Hear my clarion call. Anointeth thyself with gel and heavenly body spray. Maketh the sign of the devil horns with thine hands. Let there be high fiving and the hugging of many bros, for this is the kingdom and the power.”
Anthony goes on to wonder why he doesn’t understand the sudden change occurring in Vegas from the live stage acts to the DJs, asking Penn “Are we just old? Or are we non-douchey?”. And while Penn believes in the former, Anthony not as much.
