After conjuring up much support and intrigue with a couple releases, the young USC graduate, Clinton VanSciver, unleashes his second EP, ‘Rings.’ Clinton’s latest EP only reinforces the progress he has made over the years. Capturing his signature Dirty Pop sound, he includes three very diverse tracks, which display nothing but versatility. With his previous EP released via Dim Mak, Your EDM Records is thrilled to announce the release of ‘Rings.’
The first and title track off the EP, “Rings,” features the delicate voice of Kelley Jackle that fits in perfectly over the hard-hitting electro drop. The second track called “Mr. What,” is a collaboration with Kiely Rich. Including unique sounds in the intro and some pretty neat synth-work in the bridge, this one is much glitchier and heavier than the first, and probably my favorite off of the EP. The drop also incorporates a funky type of sound, which really makes it an easy listen as well as an easy tune to dance to. The third and final song, “Interested,” features rapper Mina Knock, who may be a familiar name to many of you. The final track is much mellower than the first two, but still encompasses both glitchy synths and funky chord progressions.
