VERSA, a duo from Florida consisting of Sierra Kay and Blake Harnage, released their Neon EP in January with their track “Illusion” that now has a new remix from Matt Lange that the Your EDM family has the luxury of premiering to the internet. The original is an ambient treasure chest of shadowy golden musical components that lure the listener into its alternative atmosphere. Matt’s approach is more focused on making a dance jam, yet the housey edit still maintains the dark allure the original expresses so well. The main melodic phrase is inconspicuous, as well as profound; it’s one of the elements that will stick in your mind days after you have already taken a listen. If you thought it couldn’t get better, just wait until the second chorus. That bass though.
