Your EDM’s Collection Conspectus Chapter #6

ConspectusCollection-logo

We’re back this week with another Conspectus Chapter for you to immerse yourself in and enjoy. For the newcomers out there, this is where we recap five tracks from the Your EDM Collection Soundcloud page, every Friday. It’s a quick place to add music to your repertoire that will aid your weekend festivities. Given that you are all here for the music, let’s get to it. Shall we?

Chapter 6:

The CasaBrothers don’t seem to ever disappoint. No matter what genre they put their mind to, they pull it off. Their latest project is the Melbourne single “What We Came For” featuring Hype Turner. It’s a kooky composition whose bouncy bassline will drop your jaw to the floor. This of course happens while you dance your butt off to the fun jam. Liberate yourself from the weekly woes.

An artist I just found was Extra Terra, a live EDM band from France, whose track “French Hop” has some vibes from moombahcore, glitch, and French electro. Honestly, if they played this live I might defecate myself. The complexity would be difficult to carry out live, but they can manage to take their stellar productions and execute them in a live atmosphere. For someone who loves any kind of midtempo stuff, get a load of this one.

I’m sure there are a lot of Passion Pit fans out there. I’m also sure there are some Artec fans; for those who like both, you will absolutely love this remix of “Moth’s Wings” that we have for you next. Artec made an indie house cut of the Passion Pit original for a dreamy aural experience you can have for free. This isn’t the first time Artec has wowed us with an awesome remix, and I don’t think it will be his last.

The only person running the trap in this chapter is Vaccid. His “Unicorn Zombie Apocalypse” remix may trick you at first, taking you into a four-to-the-floor beat, but don’t worry, you’re arriving at the traphouse soon. When that cut time beat comes in it’s business as usual, but who says you can’t get down while business is going on. Gotta keep it real; luckily, Vaccid already took the liberty of doing so.

Concluding this chapter comes “Die Floten,” an original from the New Yorker Sylert, formerly known by the name Ryan K. It’s a big room banger that layers the acoustic with the synthetic for a showdown that will repeat itself in your head, whether you want it to or not. As things move along the synthetic elements take over, but as they do so the energy they bring becomes that much more great. Purchase this on Beatport; it’s the only one you have to buy of the chapter, so don’t be stingy if you like it.
