One of the latest collaborations to blow up this year is between Linus Eklow of Style Of Eye fame and Christian “Bloodshy” Karlsson of the trio Miike Snow. They have just recently released their debut eponymous extended play and have just announced that they will be performing the Saturday of the first weekend of the Coachella Festival. If there’s one thing you should know, the name Galantis is going to dominate this year. But that’s not all.
Previously, Galantis broke out into the music video scene with their hyper-sexualized, not-safe-for-work “Smile” music video. To expand on the release of their new material, the duo have worked again with director Dano Cerny for the music video for “You” (the second single from their EP). The video features an interview with a black cat-like creature that Galantis refers to as a Seafox. She is asked about love and loneliness while dancing with strangers and exploring the city. The video ends with the Seafox saying, “I just believe that love is love. Love is love no matter who you are.” A perfect quote to a great feel-good music video.
