Disney is investigating a trademark registration filed by Deadmau5 for his infamous mouse head logo. Disney believes that the logo is eerily similar to their staple Mickey Mouse trademark, which has been a symbol for youth and imagination for almost a century. If Deadmau5‘s registration is passed, it will allow him to brand the mau5 character through dolls, electronic equipment, food products, and anything that would look better with three small circles and a wide open mau5 grin.
Disney‘s massive team of high profile lawyers have ninety days to conclude their investigation, at which point Deadmau5 will have a new target for aiming his infamous trolling.
What do you think? Does Disney have a case for blocking the mau5’s trademark registration?
