Watch the troll HERE
Well, apparently not all were a fan of the troll master’s epic Ultra troll. Whether deadmau5 played Levels in his monumental set closing out day 2 as tribute to Avicii or as a giant joke is undetermined, open to interpretation and quite frankly, rather irrelevant, not all found the surprise to be humorous. Tiesto took to twitter to at first applaud deadmau5 for supporting Avicii and his EDM colleagues by playing Avicii’s iconic hit while he recovers from surgery, but quickly had an epiphany about the set and publicly bashes the mau5 for “taking the piss of someone who’s in the hospital”.
The highlight of @deadmau5 his set @ultra was when he played @Avicii ‘s levels! #amazing

Oh wait, was @deadmau5 being sarcastic when he played @Avicii ? That’s pretty sad taking the piss of someone who’s in the hospital… — Tiësto (@tiesto) March 30, 2014
Deadmau5, typical of deadmau5 fashion, fires back at Tiesto.
@tiesto are you about to give me shit for playing levels? Christ if I had a nickle for everyone who played levels, I’d buy a 15 mil house. — deadmau5 (@deadmau5) March 30, 2014
@tiesto @Avicii how does one play a track sarcastically? Am I supposed to sneer while hitting the sync button? Or is that ironic? — deadmau5 (@deadmau5) March 30, 2014
@tiesto play fuckin ghosts n stuff at my funeral for all I fuckin care.
— deadmau5 (@deadmau5) March 30, 2014
@tiesto I played it to help funding for NASA. They’re incredibly under funded. It’s sad really.

It seems that Tiesto may have even subtweeted deadmau5 in response to mau5 playing an Old Macdonald version of Martin Garrix‘s Animals.
Also animals by @MartinGarrix was and is an amazing epic track and he has 100 more epic releases coming in the future #supertalent

Tiesto has yet to respond to deadmau5‘s “idgaf” tweets, and deadmau5 didn’t respond to the Garrix tweet, but at least they can work out their issues in a very public forum such as Twitter.
Going back to my original point, does it really matter why deadmau5 played Levels? Was it a true troll? Was it a tribute? I for one am just glad to take a blast to the past and re-live 2012 all over again.
