Tiësto has terminated his oncoming performance in Caracas. It was scheduled for next month and cancelled due to political unrest in Venezuela. Tiësto told the Associated Press that he cancelled the gig because, “it’s no time to party.”
The Dutch DJ will reschedule his show in Venezuela and has been keen to point out he has enjoyed many fantastic shows in the country.
Venezuela has been in crisis since the government reacted strongly against demonstrations across the country. Civilians and protestors have been killed by paramilitaries or imprisoned in military compounds.
Tiësto would not have taken this decision lightly, after cancelling last week when he suffered an injury to his head.
