This just in, Washington’s Sasquatch! festival has unfortunately canceled its second weekend. They originally planned to bump this up to two weekends, one occurring Memorial Day Weekend and the other over July 4th weekend. It was an ambitious move to disregard the typical back to back plan most festivals follow. As Jeff Trisler, president of Live Nation Seattle, stated:
“Unfortunately, the second weekend was not embraced. We felt it was better to cancel the new event now and give everyone time to make alternative plans for the Fourth of July weekend. Going forward, Sasquatch! Music Festival will be at the Gorge Amphitheatre on the weekend the fans want: Memorial Day Weekend only.“
This could have resulted from a variety of things, the most likely being ticket sales were dismal for the second weekend. Either way, Sasquatch! will still occur over Memorial Day weekend, so be sure to grab tickets before it sells out!
