It’s official. Sonny Moore is going to take 2014 by storm. After catching fans off guard delivering his album Recess (which you can read all about right here), Skrillex has announced that more music will be coming out “spontaneously”. In a recent interview with Billboard, he commented on his new album in relation to other new music saying, “The album is kind of like the first wave a lot of more stuff to come.”
Although his album featured collaborations and featured artists from all over the grand spectrum of the music industry, Sonny has been working with so many musician and artists on projects that never made the final cut for his debut album. As he stated in the interview, “There’s so many other collaborations that I can’t really say yet but that have been left over from the record, that I’m going to release soon that are so dope. I’m excited for the new stuff to come out that no one’s heard yet.” Does this mean we’ll be hearing his songs with guys like Feed Me, What So Not, Flume, GTA, Funtcase, and more that have been teased or never heard by the ears of fans?
Whenever that music ever gets released, you can be sure that some of these and many more will be played during his trip next week to Miami Music Week. With his Ultra performance with Diplo as Jack U or his mini-festival with back-to- back performances across the roster, there will be new music from Skrillex and many more.
