Just days ago we received wind that Koan Sound would be releasing yet another Ep just months after the beautifully crafted Sanctuary EP was released. Varying in styles dramatically, Koan is able to manipulate genres infusing their aggressive glitch hop roots, found in the Funk Blaster EP, into what we have discovered is a much more gentle and sensual side of of Koan Sound displayed in their latest EP, “Sanctuary”.
Honestly, I did not know what to expect from Koan’s Dynasty EP release due to the pairs’ unparallelled ability to incorporate such diverse sections of the spectrum into one. As of today, Koan Sound has released the official preview on their Youtube channel. 
The first two tracks are my personal favorites thus far. Where the first is an incredibly soulful and funky tune with a huge Mat Zo influence reminding me of “Like It Used To Be” from “Damage Control“; the second takes me back to their original “Funk Blaster” sound.
