Afrojack Album ‘Forget The World’ Will See May 19th Release

Afrojack - News

So many albums are fluttering around with anticipation to drop for the spring time. One such album that has been in the works over the course of the last year up until now was teased with songs like “Ten Feet Tall” and “The Spark” to create hype for all this new music. The producer/DJ has also been busy putting out his diverse spin on remixes for Miley CyrusTiësto, and most recently Thirty Seconds To Mars. Now one of electronic dance music’s biggest masterminds in the pop scene is prepping the world for an album release with a strong message, and his name is Afrojack.

The new album Forget The World is Nick van de Wall’s attitude towards how he and fans should approach life and success. When he recently sat down with Rolling Stone, he went into the meaning behind the title saying that the fans should do whatever it is they love to do without negative feedback stopping them. He goes in to depth about how we should not stop being passionate about the things we love:

The message that I’m sending out is basically a reminder to everyone in the world that it shouldn’t be that way. I remember when I started getting into music, everyone looked at me like I was a fucking idiot… I was always like sort of an outcast. And when I got home, I was always doing music, but when I was doing music, no one was there to judge it, you know? It was just me in my bedroom. It gave me freedom and made me happy. I think that freedom is really important for people to remember and that you can create it yourself. You’re going to be way happier doing things you actually love and finding other people that love the same thing than doing something that other people love so you’re just cooler and have cool friends.

Expect the album to see a release date of May 19th this year with appearances from Snoop Dogg, Wiz Kahlifa, and Sting of the classic rock band The Police. However, do not expect this album to simply be a catalogue of club bangers that we would expect from Afrojack. Rather, this will be a new expression for Nick to truly display his musical versatility to see how he has evolved passed just making another dance-floor smasher.
