As if physically consumed by the phrase “March Madness,” Zomby is back at it again – this time, getting into an actual physical altercation with another producer, namely Hudson Mohawke.
Almost a year ago exactly, Zomby last graced us with his unique brand of childishness by engaging in a Twitter feud with Zomboy. It boiled down to Zomby being pissy about their names being too similar and Zomboy getting more credit for his work. Let me give you a short list of other producer names that sound eerily similar, but don’t bitch about it on social media: Bare, Bare Noize & Bear Grillz, Urbanstep & Modestep, and The Crystal Method, Crystal Castles & Crystal Fighters.
However, this new revelation takes the cake in terms of childish behavior. The reasons behind the altercation are as of yet still unknown, but both Zomby and Hudson took to Twitter soon after to continue the fight outside of each other’s proximity. Many of the tweets were subsequently deleted but, thanks to Consequence of Sound, who transcribed many of them, you can still read some here.

Thump/Vice posted an article last July showing even more Twitter feuds and bad beef between him and other producers, like Ben UFO and Drop The Lime. I know that it should be about the music, but when a producer himself takes it out on others, there’s not really an excuse. As more information becomes known, we’ll update this post and let you guys know.
And just as an afterthought… It’s a little sad that Zomby now finds himself in similar company with another celebrity who assaulted a popular producer: Justin Bieber.
