Twitter personality/producer Deadmau5 is gearing up for a spectacular show scheduled for the summer in London! The brand new trailer for the event from Mixmag offers few hints on how the show will look or sound, but fans have been promised entertainment on a legendary scale. For now, only shots of concerned citizens walking around the city’s most iconic landmarks serve as the premise for the video, as some kind of deadmothership invades overhead.
Deadmau5 has set the tried-and-true formula for viral marketing in motion. By offering no concert footage or event information, applying vague background beats and smoothing it all over with plenty of video color correction… maximum hype has been generated on a minimal budget, and even I can’t help but wonder what the next teaser has in store for the DJ with a long-standing reputation of doing it big.
