Doing It Your Way: The Story Behind Krewella’s Meteoric Rise To Fame [Video]

epic volcano

During their time in Australia for StereosonicKrewella sat down with their manager Jake Udell and legendary producer/DJ Tommie Sushine for a panel at Electronic Music Conference 2013 to discuss their meteoric rise to fame over the past few years. Topics of discussion ranged from how Jake got involved with Krewella and how his new perspective helped take their careers to the next level, how they’ve developed their live performance into the worldwide festival crushing powerhouse it is now, their musical backgrounds and influences, their hectic lifestyle (aka Krewlife), the making of their hit single “Alive,” and their incredibly successfully business strategy that hinges on the deep bond they been able to foster with their Krew all over the world thanks to the interactive nature of social media.dawwAs Your EDM’s resident Krewella expert, I figured I already knew pretty much everything there was to know about them but boy was I wrong; if you’re looking to learn more about not just Krewella, but also all the hard work, dedication, passion, and sacrifice it takes to make it in the music industry, then make sure you check out the footage from the panel below. However, one thing I’ve always known about Krewella is that JahanYasmine, and Rain Man are some of the most “real” and down-to-earth people you will ever meet, period; if you feel like you know them already it’s because you do, what you see is exactly what you get with them and it’s such a beautiful thing. Yeah they’re popular for many different reasons, but it is this quality that makes them truly unique and allows their fans to connect with them on such a deep level; they’re really not that different from us at all, they’re just lucky enough to make a living off of their passion and this video is a testament to that!
