In what a feels like a slightly different take of Gaga’s “Telephone” video with Beyoncé from 2010, Avicii brings “Addicted To You” to life with breath-taking visuals and duo of hell-raising, love driven girls. Hedda Steirnstedt and Madeleine Martin steal the show, starring as the two women, while Audra Mae’s soulful voice helps stunningly recreates what could be sometime in the 1930’s based on the cars, clothing and guns used in the three and half minute clip.
Watch the video below and pay attention to some of the subtle details in the video. I believe there are some subtle statements being made beyond the obvious one of supporting gay-rights; empowered women and stereotypical male characters among others.
