It’s been confirmed! After hinting at a team up since December, it’s been officially announced that the king of dubstep and OWSLA label owner Skrillex has finished a two-track collab with his buddy Flume.
The CEO & founder of HARD Events and Holy Ship, Gary Richards, recently affirmed the speculations about this collaboration.
“A ton of collaborations have resulted from the close quarters and chill vibe [of Holy Ship],” Richards told New Times Miami. “Skrillex is what they call an ‘OG.’ He hasn’t missed a year and has since worked with fellow shipmate Boys Noize, as well as just wrapped up a two-track collab with Flume.”
Major Lazer has also recently revealed that they are working on a collaboration with Flume after hanging out at 2014 Big Day Out.
“Yeah man, believe it or not we’re actually leaving Flume’s house right now, we had a nice time there. We just went over to his apartment for a BBQ. He’s an amazing producer, great guy, so, for sure.”
Apparently 2014 is the year for big collaborations with Flume. There aren’t any previews up yet for either of the collaborations, but we’re excited to hear what these very talented producers come up with.
