Daft Punk Returns to No. 1 Slot on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Album

Daft Punk continues to get lucky and take over the Billboard charts once again by climbing back up to the #1 slot on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Album chart with Random Access Memories. As billboard states; “This week marks the album’s 17th week at the top and first since Sept. 21.” Also, the robots monumental success continues with “5-1; 8,000 copies sold, up 91%, according to Nielsen Soundscan”, as they have leaped past many successful albums, like Zedd’s Clarity, and Avicii’s True.

It may not just be luck, but continuous talent that never ceases to amaze listeners by keeping the dance music alive; as Daft Punk took over the stage at the Grammy’s this year, with their second live performance ever to appear on national television and performing a sensational set of “Get Lucky” with Nile Rodgers and Pharrell Williams. Accompanying with them was the one and only Stevie Wonder, who took the spotlight with his featured solo that definitely lit up the crowd. That was not the end for Daft Punk, as they took home the gold and won Best Dance/Electronica Album, Best Pop Duo/ Group Performance featuring Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers, Record of the Year, Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical), and Album of the Year.
