Balkan or Bal-Can’t? The Latest Spinnin’ Records Big Room Preview Sends The Internet Into A Frenzy

On Friday, a short clip of Spinnin’ Records‘ latest release, entitled “Balkan,” was previewed on their YouTube channel. An artist has not been linked to the clip, although it is noted that it will be released on Tiesto‘s Musical Freedom Records.

The track starts off with an ethnic South Eastern European trumpet loop, accompanied by appropriate percussion, and gets built up by lasers and a commonly used “are you ready” vocal sample. It then breaks into a big room house drop with an obese kick drum and plucks that sounds like birds chirping…or seizing? We still haven’t decided.

After the launch, Spinnin’ fans took to social media with an onslaught of negative criticism.

As of now, the preview has received a majority of “dislikes” on YouTube, although a couple of familiar faces went to bat for the clip.

We don’t anticipate that this one will be going away any time soon, so let us know what you think of “Balkan,” and make sure to tell us who you think produced it.
