The multi-genre DJ and producer Ookay took a stroll through the cut and returned to his brand of trap stylings for his latest release, Stick Up. The two track EP is available for free download through his Facebook page and is a must for those looking to turn up the party this winter.
Stick Up starts off with “Big,” a huge tune inspired by infamous Biggie Smalls samples and massive 808s. This one is driven by nicely swung percussion during the break and a drop filled with catchy pitched vocal samples we’ve come to attribute to the trap sound. 
Next up is the title track “Stick Up,” which is defined by arpeggiated plucks and a screaming snare that rips straight through the mix. The drop is a hybrid of big room synth sounds, classic 808 muscle, and those slapping plucks that introduce the track.
