It has been a huge year for the electronic music scene, and nothing highlights the breakthrough that it’s experienced better than the fact that Daft Punk‘s “Get Lucky” and Avicii‘s “Wake Me Up” were among the highest selling singles in the UK for 2013. According to Official Charts Company’s website Daft Punk’s smash hit collaboration with Nile Rodgers and Pharrell Williams sold 1.3 million copies and Avicii’s hit sold a total of 1.18 million copies.
