“Flight” is the product of house head R3hab and cake-master Steve Aoki that was finally released today via Ultra. Dim Mak is listed on the artwork which is no surprise since the label is the offspring of Aoki. The release of “Flight” comes after a festival premiere and various previews/teasers that were uploaded to Soundcloud and Youtube.
A lot of people are going to be ecstatic (and have been) about the song, while many others will be disappointed. Festival track all the way; the pounding kick will melt you, while the simple, yet diverse arrangement implements itself into your mind. Also stuck there will be the hyped vocal samples and the idea that this should have been a hardstyle track. Or is that just me? I guess it’s hard to jump with the bpms that high, but I’m glad they gave this track some bounce. You can purchase the tune via the Beatport link below.
