The man (or boy I should say) behind “Animals”, Martin Garrix, caught up with Beatport to give them his Top 10 of 2013 list of tracks. With the popularity of his latest singles being as they are it is no wonder he was chosen by the very site he is sitting at #1 on to do something like this with. Some of his choices come from artists like Mat Zo, TJR, Showtek, W&W and Martin Garrix.. What?
Before we get to that, let’s note that most of his choices are from either Spinnin’ Records or Revealed Recordings. I think most of you know what you are going to hear and whether you like it or not, go through the list at least to see his picks. Personally, the only thing I find wrong with the list (which is subjective) is that he chose one of his own songs. I’m not saying he should or shouldn’t have; all I’m saying is he would have been a bit more of a class act if he hadn’t. So now, to the list, which is in no particular order.
Alesso vs. OneRepublic – If I Lose Myself (Alesso Extended Remix)
Mat Zo & Porter Robinson – Easy
W&W & Ummet Ozcan – The Code
Thomas Newson – Pallaroid
Showtek ft. We Are Loud & Sonny Wilson – Booyah
Dimitri Vegas, Moguai & Like Mike – Mammoth
TJR – What’s Up Suckaz
Lush & Simon – Adrenaline
Steve Angello & Matisse & Sadko – SLVR
Martin Garrix – Animals

Objectively, not putting Animals as a Beatport Top 10 of 2013 would have been some sort of blasphemy 😛
At least he picked a good song like “Easy” by Porter and Mat Zo.
