Last year Skrillex led the EDM charge at the Grammy Awards, but this year someone else is likely to take up the mantle. The Grammy nominations have been announced with Daft Punk, Calvin Harris and Kaskade finding themselves in multiple categories. All three of them are up for Best Dance/Electronica Album as well as single song categories. Daft Punk also landed on the Album of the Year and Record of the Year lists, which gives them the most out of all the electronic artists.
The committee made some great (and I’m sure hard) choices with their picks; I don’t think there will be too much arguing over the nominations, although there always will be people who are dissatisfied. All I know is it is going to be an insanely close call for the album category with the previously mentioned names along with Pretty Lights and Disclosure. Who will take home the trophy? Or two? Watch the Grammy’s on January 26th to find out!

armin best song & calvin harris best album
Daft Punk needs to win best album! It would be a great way to celebrate their first album since 2010. (If you count the TRON soundtrack as an album). 🙂
