Shazam’s Artists to Watch in 2014 + Recap of Top 2013 Tags

 
One of the most useful app’s a music lover can have, Shazam, has just announced it’s list of artists to watch in 2014, as well as this years recap of the top tagged songs. The artists to watch account for all types of musicians but the recap pertains to strictly dance music. One EDM name cracked the lookout list; that artist being Martin Garrix. The only reason I say lookout for him, is because he has so much more potential than what he is currently putting out. The rest of the artists are a variety of pop, indie and rap; they are definitely worth a listen.

2013’s Top Tags for EDM was also published with Avicii‘s “Wake Me Up” taking the number one spot. It was tagged 26.5 million times globally. Daft Punk took silver with their hit “Get Lucky” and Lana Del Rey‘s collab with Cedric Gervais was at #3. Calvin Harris found himself in three places with his numerous popular tracks. These statistics only reflect tags that Shazam received and not outside sources like radio play/downloads.
