Paul Basic, aka Paul Brandt, grew up alongside fellow PLM artists Michal Menert and Derek Smith in Fort Collins, CO and even joined the same band in high school before they each moved on to pursue solo careers. ‘The Mirror’ was Paul’s debut EP on Pretty Lights Music back in 2011 in which he showcased everything he had to offer from wistful bass lines and immaculate percussion to gritty funk ridden melodies. Well after a brief hiatus Mr. Brandt is back with a full length album titled ‘Transient Horizons‘ available completely for free download courtesy of PLM. As usual, Paul’s antique samples and air-tight sound blending puts you in a boundless trance, submerging your entire body into a worry free state of mind. Take a listen!
