Dillon Francis is at it again; this time with The Rebirth of his collaboration with Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs on “Without You.” The preview was uploaded in light of the coming of the Without You Remix EP that will be released on December 10th. The Rebirth will be accompanied by Henry Fong‘s already uploaded remix as well as from Flux Pavilion & Doctor P, Treasure Fingers, Torro Torro, Hayden James and Low Steppa.
Dillon‘s rebirth of “Without You” resulted in a very big progressive sound that I know will be pleasing crowds at all the NYE events. The thing I loved about the original, which happens to be one of my favorite songs, is that it told a story and the music made you feel and live it. I’ll admit it was (and is) personal to me, but I think everyone can relate to it. The Rebirth turns that on it’s head and it takes away some of it’s distinctness; although it adds more potency in other areas. I like The Rebirth; love it, no, but if it happens to build out of the progressive sound after the preview ends then we may have a different story on our hands.
