Sam Lassner, aka Prince Fox, celebrated his 21st birthday today; not with alcohol (ok, probably that too) but with two remixes of KDrew‘s hit smash “Summer Ashes.” He takes two different routes on each by having one that is more calm and classy and one that is a little more boisterous. Both remixes are available for free download!
The first remix is the “Bass VIP” which falls under the umbrella of trap music, but there is something inexplicably ravishing about it. Of course Taryn Manning‘s vocal is going to add some angelic qualities however that doesn’t account for the entirety of this tracks appeal. The musical elements, especially after the drop, serve to put the listener in a state of comfortable awe.

Prince Fox‘s “Hard VIP” comes next; it brings just as much quality as the first, but this time it’s some ill drumstep. The percussion is a little more upbeat and so are the bpms. When the drum & bass pattern comes in for the build you know you are about to be in for something special. The complex arrangement is filled out by combinations of supreme samples that exemplify his design talents.
