Last year’s EDC Discovery Project winner TOER, whom hails from Wisconsin, released a VIP to his original remix of “Ignite It” by City 17. As if the hard electro house remix wasn’t enough, the newest rendition is some gut-wrenching dubstep. Once you hear them you’ll understand why this guy played at EDC.
The technical skill TOER possesses is paramount; his ability to fill out the mix with calculated purposeful tones is something that slots him highly within the ranks. This VIP remix is yet another example of his talents. The intro sets the stage nicely for an energetic build that transitions you into a delectable world of bass. The contrasting pairs of measures compliment each other tremendously; this structural formula being one of my favorites in music. Much like the how the rest of the song progresses, so does TOER with his interminable drive to develop and advance himself.
