Joel Zimmerman a.k.a deadmau5 has been quite active recently with the release of his “Suckfest 9001” on Mau5trap in addition to the slew of previews and teasers being uploaded rather randomly to his soundcloud. His latest effort, ‘Drop the Poptart’, which is only a mere “sketch” according to Joel, sounds extremely promising. Keeping in mind that this latest preview is simply another work in progress, it’s stunning to see deadmau5 craft such a wonderful buildup that combines Colleen D’Agostino’s emotional and well written lyrics with what appears to be the framework for yet another outstanding progressive gem and simply disregard it as a project that may or may not ever see the light of day.
