Arguably leading the charge for nerve wracking, face smashing Tech trance is none other than the legendary Jordan Suckley, whose razor blade works have been at the forefront of all the major labels throughout 2013. In particular, 2013 seems to be his breakthrough year, as his edgy, glitchy attitude has reinvented his sound into a highly sought after weapon for many sets from the most influential artists around; artists such as Indecent Noise, Will Atkinson and John O’Callaghan. From his blistering collaboration with the genre blurring Simon Patterson on Vanilla to his remixes to Jase Thirlwall‘s Gobstopper and Binary Finary‘s all time classic, 1998, he has risen to truly become one of the best in the business. His hot streak has continued throughout the later half of the year as his unique remixes to Armin Van Buuren‘s Who’s Afraid Of 138?! and Peter Plaznik‘s The Swamp have been at the forefront of musical innovation. Now, he sets his sights to remix a classic from Trance heavyweight Bryan Kearney as a part of KEARNAGE‘s Reloaded release series which we believe covers new mixes of old staples in Kearney‘s discography, (such has the upcoming Sam Jones & Will Rees remix to Stealth Bomber). Filled with unexpected twists and turns, this multifaceted remix can be described in one word: Massive.

Beginning with Psy Trance sensibilities, a chunky bassline is injected with gravel eating timbres as various liquid synths rip their way throughout the soundscape. Not for the faint of heart, a sudden cavalcade of brutal, Electro sounds pair along with an Acid line that turns blisteringly lethal with complete, authoritative charge and demonic force of tongue. Suckley is not completely focused on Tech, as the resulting breakdown slows things down to a grand, virtuostic Trance melody complete with rich strings and blending basslines. Snapping up the energy a bit, a classic melody is featured in true Suckley form as he pulls in a neat little Breaks section to break apart the genres of the piece even further. As the melody is slowed to a crawl, ominous voices become increasingly apparent as bleeps, ogre grunts, and a flash of winding synths bring the powerful track to a fever point. Featuring his own iconic style of Trance, it pulls into a neck throttling drop with complete, accurate precision and pin point accuracy as the pairing of clipped basslines meet head on with incredibly unusual wood block timbres. Playing along with the beats of the drop, he adds certain elements of flair at the most random times and beats to not only give a signature to his works, but to also keep the listener on their toes through the entirety of the phrase, which refuses to let up as the dangerously deadly acid lines returns for another pass.
