Six months after “Jet Blue Jet” captured our ears from Major Lazer’s Free the Universe album, the dancehall-EDM fusion project has released the track’s music video. As a visual counterpart for the addictive rhythm, laid back rap and hypnotic vocals, the music video provides a psychedelic experience with blunts, smoke, pretty girls and trippy colors. The slow motion of the vids may seem a bit low-key compared to some of Major Lazer’s earlier videos (namely, “Pon de Floor” and “Bubble Butt”), but its juxtaposition with the deliberately rhythmic beat gives off an interesting contrast in what you hear and what you see.
