Last week, on Saturday October 19th, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike threw down and delivered an extremely heavy set in celebration of the 2013 DJ Mag Top 100 results. The Belgian brothers have had an extremely successful year in 2013, moving up a flabbergasting 32 spots in the DJ Mag top 100 list and claiming the #6 spot . During their set, they premiered their new single with Martin Garrix, the man behind the now infamous track “Animals” that topped the Beatport top 100 chart and proved an inescapable track in the festival season; Martin Garrix entered the DJ Mag top 100 list this year and amazingly holds the 40th spot. These three young men have had quite the year!
As of now, the collab between Garrix and the duo remains untitled; don’t worry though, you’ll get to see its name plenty in the near future, as it’s surely going to be a huge hit. The collab has influences from the duo’s famous tracks “Mammoth” and “Wakanda” and Martin Garrix’s “Animals.”
Some might say that it’s the same generic and boring “formula” that everyone’s using these days, while others will simply fall in love with it. However, one thing that’s for sure, is that everyone will talk about it.
